Disappointing

The film was very well made with original characters and the animation was certainly as great as we have come to expect. Unfortunately, it was too frenetically paced. I loved the first two films, approaching the second with the usual trepidation. However, the second in the series was great, very funny and quirky, while this one just seemed to try to top the other two. There were parts of it that were very funny indeed but I wonder what happened to the original minions. And I do not believe that the minions would have left Gru under any circumstances. The plot line was cumbersome, the characters lacked their original charm and the entire thing had the feel of a sequel that tried too hard. And yes, I realize that it made many millions of dollars, including my contribution, but I have no desire to see it again. My husband liked it very much but my girlfriend and I both felt that it was "Eh."Read full review
