Flash from the past

Packaging was in great condition, discs all perfect, and even little booklets inside for my kids to look at! It is great to enjoy the nostalgia of the show for the low price I got them for. My only complaints are with the quality of them. Occasionally when the characters are speaking, their mouths will appear to have a lagging effect to them. Also, I have surround sound, and instead of the HDMI setup I had hooked up, I found out the hard way that these discs have to go through a basic cable setup in order for the sound not to cut in and out. VERY minor issues, I still almost gave it a 5/5 stars but these were frustrating at first, especially the sound. It might even just be my surround sound system, who knows. Read full review

It's all there but...

While this does have the first 4 series in Digimon. These are the most bare bones DVDs. All the DVDs have is the list of episodes and PLAY ALL selection. That's it no extras no Original Japanese Language track with English subs or even Closed Captions for the hearing impaired. Now the video and audio quality ain't bad. It's as good as You'll see on TV so no loss there. But for the price this set is going for normally I'd have expect more than some info book on the Digimon. I'd buy this again if they do a Blu-ray upgrade. Still one of my first and favorite Series (after you get past the cringeness of the first 2-3 disks). Apart from Sailor Moon, one of my favorite purchases just to have an official copy of the first 4 Digimon series. Read full review

Good purchase, slight annoyances

As a Digimon fan I couldn't wait relive the adventures of the DigiDestined from the very beginning.

However, there are some issues. For some reason, the quality of a few episodes isn't very good. One episode froze and cut to the very next scene, forcing me to rewind it but I couldn't go too far without being forced back to the episode selection menu, and another episode froze near the very end and I couldn't finish watching it.

Epic collection

For anyone was a huge fan of digimon as a kid and wants to relive it, this is it. Love the way the box looks (it's shiny, which you can't see in the pictures here) and the artwork on it and bonus poster are nice. Totally recommend for any old school digi fans :)Read full review

Good nostalgic value

My box was new/unopened and came with all four season dvds as well as the poster and booklets that the boxset promised. Because of the way the set was packaged into an only slightly larger box, the corners of the box set were very slightly damaged, but the dvds themselves were ok. As for the content, the box set includes the four seasons with the english dub cast. There are no subtitles or special features, and there is no audio track for the original japanese cast. This is not a problem for me but I thought I'd point it out. All in all, for what I was looking for, I'm very excited and happy with the purchase. Read full review
