WORKS GREAT AND QUIET
This works, trust me. out of 14 eggs I had 8 take, and 4 survive the whole way. you gotta be diligent to flipping eggs! SO quiet I kept it on my nightstand when I slept where it was in a warmer protected room. works wonderfully. only issue is the screws rust. hey designers, dont use the galvanized or nickel screws or whatever is used. use stainless steel! Didn't last a week!
I was hoping to get one set of eggs hatched with this inexpensive, little device - and I mean little; it only held 4 duck eggs - but it did not make it through the week before the noisy fan went. The heat control read 37.5 on the unit but the digital thermometer I put in there read 34.2. The humidity read between 83 - 90% no matter how little water I put in the device. I would not recommend wasting money on this product. Save up for a real one or do a DIY incubator. I am sure that it would work better than this. Read full review

Not bad for the price.
Although it's designed to hold seven, I wouldn't recommend putting more then five in it. It's designed so the eggs are standing up on end whichc makes turning them impossible in a traditional sense. (I ended up leaning them one direction, then another as a way to compensate)
Also, it comes with NO directions. But if you've been on YouTube you'll have a basic understanding to figure it out.
Depending on your area I'd also recommend not adding much water until the last three days as the condensation on the sides gets quite heavy leaving the side of the egg touching it soaked. I'm no expert but that can't be good.Read full review

Don't buy, doesn't work correctly and is too small!!!
Although this incubator (and I use this name with reservations) does turn on it is almost impossible to stabilize both the temperature and humidity. I wanted o hatch chicken eggs and after two attempts only one chick was able to hatch. It says 7 eggs but it doesn't fit more than 4 easily. You can't properly turn the eggs nor lay them flat for the end of the cycle. It cooked my first five eggs and only one hatched on the second try,VERY DISAPPOINTED and not worth the money or the time,you will be disappointed. I will be buying a different,better quality incubator and they don't cost that much more. Don't waste your time and money..Read full review

Hatch your chicks
We have hatched 3 batches of chicks with this little wonder. I would limit the number of eggs to 3 or 4, not 7. The fan became noisy during the first week of the first incubation and has continued to get louder, but it is still keeping temperature and humidity at the proper level. If you want to hatch a couple of chicks, it is a great buy.Read full review

It work but you must be watchful
If you like to be involved in your hatch at all times then this will work. The temp is pretty accurate. Humidity is a guess. With a calibrated temp and hygrometer spend a couple days finding your water level sweet spots and temps. Ambient air temp and relative humidity has a measured effect on internal levels. Completely filling all 7 spots is perhaps a bit crowded. We used this as a backup incubator foreggs we were skeptical about and it will work fine. Read full review

Not worth it
We have tried two of these, thinking the first one was defective, no success. I don't think it has good air circulation, and I doubt the temperature readings, both critical measurements to hatching success. Tried 7 eggs, and tried just 3 eggs. There is not enough room to turn the eggs back and forth, which is also necessary. I would save the money and put it towards the more expensive ones, or use the components with a stand alone temperature for a home built incubator.Read full review

Fun toy to learn about egg hatching
I call this a "toy" because it definition isn't geared toward the "real" farmer. That said, for the backyard chicken farmer, it is a great option for hatching a few chicks here and there.
Keep in mind, this thing is small so if you fully load it you will find it a bit tight, but that isn't a really big deal. Make sure to start out fat end up to "set" the eggs and rotate daily. They don't rotate themselves. There is a shallow are to add water daily, to, though I find it easier to omit one egg and stack up some damp sponge squares. Not wet, as they sit right over the heater and fan that constantly runs. Unit measures temperature in °C so us Americans need to convert from °F. I found the default settings worked pretty good and tested the accuracy with a separate thermometer and found it fairly accurate. I thought of making my own incubator from a styrofoam cooler, thermostat and lightbulb but the cost exceeded this, and would not have been balkas nice. Are you thinking about hatching your own flock? So far, looks pretty good, and built fairly cheaply. Pretty easy to use however, the "manual" consist of one page paper that has very little information on it. Probably good for home use.
