The Exterminator

Great banter between the 7th Doctor and Ace. More comical moments provided by top acting from Mcoy. This adventure features the Daleks invading the same school Susan attended, when Barbra and Ian encountered The 1st Doctor.Read full review...

Two Doctors and an Address Book

People don't seem to like Colin Baker, and for some stories, that's fair enough. But this is surly one of the better offerings of his tenure. Good monsters, a cracking performance from Jacqueline Pearce (Of Blake’s 7 ‘Servalan’ fame), a host of good supporting characters, some good interaction between The Doctor and Peri, AND the Doctor has a great address book-thing in Episode One that I have always coveted. Add to that some great ‘nonsense-science (what is a ‘Briode Nebuliser’, and just why should you ‘pare the interface’) and you have a pretty good treat in store if you can put aside the received wisdom that the last good Dr Who story was made back in the good old days before we were all born… go on, give it a go!Read full review...

Doctor Who - The Two Doctors

This story gives you the last chance to see Patrick Troughton play the Doctor. Although by now his portrayal is a parody of his character before Jon Pertwee, it is well worth remembering that this was also the case in both the Three Doctors and the Five Doctors. The reason for this; it was viewed that past Doctors could not take the wind from the sails of the current Doctor and that they were just a tool to progress the plot of the story.

For its time this was a good story compared to the pantomime that the then Producer 'JNT' put the viewing public through.

Two doctors are better than one!

This is one of the best of the late 1980s Dr Who stories. Patrick Troughton steps effortlessly back into the doctor's shoes, often proving much more watchable than his sixth self in the form of Colin Baker. Having said this, Colin Baker is given a better script than many during his tenure and he gives a less bad-tempered and more "human" performance here.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story when I watched on the Beeb back in the 80s and the experience wasn't diminished here in the 21st century. I would recommend this to anyone re-discovering the original Dr Who or those visiting the show's past for the first time.
