A must for fans of the Jon Pertwee era of Doctor Who.
I bought this DVD because I am building up a small collection. The Day of The Daleks is a great example of the Jon Pertwee era, with good action sequences, with the occasional wry look from the Doctor, make for great viewing.Read full review...
Not a Doctor Who classic story but this DVD edition is very good
I purchased this DVD to add to my Doctor Who collection in which I'm a huge fan of.
Whilst this story is not a Doctor Who classic this DVD edition is very good.
I watched the original story(Disc 1) & the story with new special effects(Disc 2).
As expected from 1972 & the limited budget the BBC had for special effects, the effects look unconvincing by todays standards but at least the storyline had substance unlike the current Dr Who with all superb effects & production but lacking in storyline development(Cramming everything into one episode minus the "Cliffhanger").
Disc 2 has the story with new added special effects which are excellent. The effects work very well without being over the top for a story that is 41 years old.
Together with the extras this 2 DVD set represents value for money.Read full review...
