Quick to fit and has useful bag to keep it all in (including some sand pegs and peg pull that were bought separately). Not yet tested in rain. Would not recommend leaving awning out in strong wind.

The Dometic kit is easy to use. very quick to deploy and effective
Excellent piece of kit. We have recently taken delivery of a motorhome with a Dometic PW 1000 wind out awning. On our first two trips we used a generic tie down kit that performed very well with Fiamma bag awnings on our previously owned caravans. However, the generic kit proved to be ineffective (and potentially damaging) on the Dometic wind out awning because the mechanics and therefore the stresses are completely different. The Dometic kit is easy to use. very quick to deploy, effective and can can be relaxed gradually whilst the awning is being wound in, thus providing added protection when the awning is vulnerable.Read full review...
