Judge Judy at her best.

I have been an avid watcher of Judge Judy for some time and as an English viewer, it is a fascinating insight into the differences between our law and that of America as well as learning about the thought processes of the various participants on the show. Human beings are strange creatures indeed sometimes!!! Judith Sheindlin herself is an opinionated and intelligent woman who doles out wisdom and common sense in equal measure with a quick wit and wicked rapier tongue. While the show is just that - a show - it is so refreshing to view as the judgements are final and legally binding. Interesting stuff. I did wonder if the book might be a let down after the visual drama, but this is not so. The writing is pure Judge Judy and is informative, yet written in an understandable format - and the wicked wit also comes through. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who has watched and enjoyed the television version - and to someone who hasn't - I believe you would find it both a good read and an informative one - with a good dose of wicked wit and humor running throughout. Judy tells it how it is!

This book was written years ago and about the US, but it’s still as relevant now and in all countries.
Judy is scathing in her approach to people who think the world owes THEM a favour and makes it very clear people are responsible for themselves.
I’m only half way through but I’ve been in fits of giggles one minute and then total disbelief the next.
