Clas A stereo Amp3

I have a 40 year old tube type shortwave radio that I took out and cleaned up and ran it up against my $1500 transistor type shortwave radio and was amazed with the low noise and clear reception, which made me think about upgrading my 3 tube amp (Lzban) which was somewhat ok but not totally satisfied with it.

The Adsibad 7 tube amp replaced that amp and with only 6.8 watts of power it drives my old Sansui speakers at a very comfortable listening level without driving the amp very hard at all, clean bass and very clean high end, I run my amp thru a 10 band equalizer to conform the speakers to my room, and the amp performs great thru the entire frequency span, the warm and smooth output is a joy to listen to. Time to pull out the turntable and put the 100+ LP's to work. Love listening to music again. pics show freq response across the spectrum 31 Hz to 20 KHz it's all there and even, A great sound and value.

Class-A Means Fast, Fast Burn-Out

It's running in Class-A and that means full throttle somewhere in the guts that will eventually lead to component and/or tube failure.

Class AB1 or AB2 is a worthwhile consideration, but for Class-A amps it's best to cast them adrift with the modern semiconductor designs with much lower distortion and much cheaper price tags.Read full review...

Wonderful sound on a Mid-Fi budget

This is my fifth Class A tube amp ranging in different prices. A tube amp is akin to driving a car with a manual transmission. An automatic transmission gets the job done just fine, but offers little variety or excitement. A manual transmission makes driving exciting. It puts you in touch with the soul of driving as you have more influence in making the car respond to you, and your senses are attuned to everything happening. It is a rewarding experience to tame and control power. Such is the case with amplifiers. A solid-state amp does a fine job and lets you enjoy music, but the amplifier is what it is. Tube amps offer a lot of variety in changing how the music sounds and making it more personalized. Like driving a manual transmission, it is rewarding and causes you to more fully tune into what is happening because you have invested time and effort in shaping the sound. I am confident the amp is going to sound better as time goes on, and it appears I’m already seeing it after just a dozen hours. I have ordered all NOS tubes and will be rolling when they arrive.Read full review...

Great amp. Plenty of power

I have this driving some pretty hefty klipsh floorstanding speakers and also have used with my edifiers. Sounds very good and punches bass through clearly. (Full range is clear)

Quality is decent. I disconnected the front led just because I like the dial and tube glow alone.

The needles are really cool! The analog vu meter is like it's dancing with the music.

I did change the rectifier tube and put tung sol 6sn7s in it. While slightly improved I'm actually pretty surprised with the stock tubes sound for whwt

Very good quality and great sound

A very well designed and built single ended amplifier. Requires efficient speakers to shine as the power is modest. Sounds great through my 1972 Akai sw-176’s. Requires a separate phono amp to use with turntable, a shame there is not a matching unit available. Also, it would be nice if there was a upgrade tube set option. I have ordered replacement tubes but It would have been nice to have better tubes from the start. On balance, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better amp at this price.Read full review...

Great sound and very affordable. Good build quality

Great affordable tube amp. Out of the box, it sounds awesome. With different tubes and a few inexpensive mods, this amp is stellar.
