Douk Audio T3 Pro preamp

I purchased this as an introduction to mini stereo equipment. This preamp is better than the one on my Teac TN-300.
I also changed out the tubes to GE 5654 matched pair tubes and the soundstage and music has a nice feel to it. Is it McIntosh? No and it’s not trying to be. I also purchased a Douk Audio M1 Pro and together they take no space at all and sound just as good as my Sony receiver and drive my speakers and my Cerwin Vega 15” subwoofer efficiently.I listen to my vinyl everyday and enjoy the sound I have. Everyone has different hearing and to me this sounds good for my expectations at this price point.Others can spend thousands and never find it to be perfect,but never enjoy what’s important… the music!!! A great tube preamp that does it all for a reasonable price.

After using this preamp for a few days, I found it to be a great tube preamp that does it all for a reasonable price. Usually tube phono preamps are expensive as you have to pay extra to get that tube sound, but not this one. Also I REALLY like how you can change the gain switch on the fly to get the best sound from your phono cartridge or even each LP as it is playing. In addition, you can run your CD player or streamer through this tube preamp, using the audio cord provided with the unit, to get better tube sound there too. It's like having a tube phono preamp and a tube line stage amp all in one unit. I tried the upgrade tubes and got a tad more volume, but the sound is very good using the tubes provided with the unit.
