Budokai 2 is everything I want in a fighting game.

If you like DBZ, Budokai 2 is a fantastic fighting game. It offers a slightly alternate storyline than the series and a fun, board-game style component in between battles. Furthermore, once you beat the main storyline, you are called to revisit it time and time again to collect the dragon balls and make a wish.

I'll be honest, I am not a huge fan of the newer Dragonball games. I don't much like flying all over the map to find my enemy to then fight them. Budokai and Budokai 2 allows you the same chance to fight with and a against your favorite characters, without a lot of the newer components. It took me months to find a copy of this game which I consider to be a good indication of it's popularity.Read full review...

Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2

This game is the second one in the series and is well worth the money to buy. This game have the best fighting entertainment in the series. I'd say this game is the best out of the 3. The only 2 things I dont like is the "new 3-d" is more like " paper 3-d". I enjoyed the graphics from the first budokai. And one thing you arent going to like is the never ending story and how you may have to play story mode 4 times to unlock every character. Along with that in story mode is almost like a board game. Not fun, It would be so much better to be able to explore in 3-d but hopefully that will come in a future game. This game is worth the money though because of the amazing fighting and it is a good challenge. Even when the game is on easy some people are still very good challengers. its a great Game!

This game is great! more charaters more moves more all kinds of things.. stages and even one stage in the city which I like because you can destroy alot of stuff ;) its all good but the story mode is ...not as good as budokai 1. Simply because of the fact that its not like... real story mode.. its like a game board which..has its fun points but I like really getting into the story but other then that its an AWSOME GAME!

Best DBZ for GC

I didn't particullary like the game board style career mode, but i like how the order of battles can be different by doing so. There are a lot more moves that can be done and they are accurate to the series. Shifting and counter attacks are much easier to do than DBZ budokai, if your skilled you can pretty much dodge any attack or special fire which is also more accurate to the cartoon. Fighting games are not my specialty, but this game requires alot of skill due to the fact that you can't just tap alot of buttons really fast and win.Read full review...
