Dragonheart (2003) DVD

I saw this film when it first came out - in the cinema I might add. For anyone who loves these kind of films (as I do) this is a brilliant movie!

Withy Sean Connery as the Voice of the Dragon, and superb graphics (you have to remember this was quite a few years ago 1996 - not 2003 when the DVD copy was released), the story is easy to follow and shows the hero's disillusion with tyhe world he thought he knew. I'll leave you to see the film and judge for yourself about the storyline, needless to say there are some excellent actors,
Dennis Quaid .... Bowen
David Thewlis .... King Einon
Pete Postlethwaite .... Gilbert of Glockenspur
Dina Meyer .... Kara
Jason Isaacs .... Lord Felton
Brian Thompson .... Brok
Lee Oakes .... Young Einon
Wolf Christian .... Hewe
Terry O'Neill .... Redbeard
Eva Vejmelková .... Felton's Minx (as Eva Vejmelkova)
Milan Bahúl .... Swamp Village Chief (as Milan Bahul)
Peter Hric .... King Freyne
Sandra Kovacicova .... Young Kara
Kyle Cohen .... Boy in Field
Thom Baker .... Aislinn's Chess Partner

Set in mediaeval times when Dragons & sorcerers were a plenty!

There are fighting scenes and mild sexual references, but nothing more than is any of the soaps!

Thoroughly enjoyed it and so did the kids, a good family film.

Wicked!!!

Dragonheart (DVD 2003)

I decided to buy this DVD because we watched the first half on TV and my daughter really got into the film but we had to go out half way through the film. Buying through e-bay was quick easy and hassle free. The film is entertaining and serious at the same time and is a good film for the whole family to sit together and watch.Read full review...

This is a great movie which I first watched years ago...and the dragon certainly sounds great with Sean Connery playing him!!!

Worth a look!

This is a great little film suitable for family viewing. It is funny, sad and appealing in a simple way,to all ages. Something for everyone and could be a favourite for big kids!! A reasonable story line full of dragons, baddies and con artists! A strange new role for Sean Connery - takes a while to get used to this, but worth a look! A new twist on the dragons and knights story line!!
try it!!!

Just a well made film that all the family can enjoy. Well worth watching if you get the chance. Got some big name in it as well, Sean Connery, Dennis Quaid and Pete Postlewaite to name a few

good clean fun

this is a well made fantasty film fine for kids lots of comedy and a bit of boo hiss bad guys. the effects are dated however hence the 4 not 5 out of 5 good bit of fun for sunday afternoon when raining keep young boys quiet for 2 hours then give them something to use in their imaginative games before you shout when someone gets whacked with a plastic swordRead full review...

Dragonheart

Very 'nice' feel-good film! The effects are good, particularly for the date of the film and it has a good, if predictable, story-line.
