Well made, accurate and easy to use
I bought this after having had several "neat" digital tyre pressure gauges which simply just packed up (despite having good batteries). The digital ones I had also needed to be "primed" to wake them up, which would mean briefly holding them on the valve to wake the display, take off to check it's awake, then back on to get a pressure reading and get it into somewhere light enough to read the display ...before it switches off! Easy enough in the light on a car, but an awkward valve on a motorcycle or scooter wheel in dim light soon gets the air turning blue. No such problems with this large gauge which holds the reading until you reset it.
I checked a few online reviews for this Draper gauge first and they all looked good, so I decided to get one, as I have plenty of car & motorbike tyres that need fairly regular checking in the household.
My first impression was that it feels really nicely made. It has a swivel head which makes it easy to read from awkwardly located valves (such as motorbike or scooter wheels) and it doesn't require batteries, so it's "always ready". The gauge holds the pressure reading until you press the release valve, which also allows you to deflate an over-inflated tyre, down to the correct pressure.
It's obviously a bit bulkier to carry than a compact digital gauge, so you won't slip it your jacket pocket, but for home use or leaving in the boot of a car it's excellent and outperforms my old digital gauges in every other respect.

Looks good and could be up to job apart from the very big downside, the compressor connection fitted to this unit (for my compressor which ran what I thought an identical gauge to the purchased one in this review) is a smaller unit which meant that none of my fittings were comparable as this one has much smaller connection thread, so I had to dismantle this one to just use the dial to see pressures only as with the airline connection it was way to small so I had to milliput the dial from this to the older gun......in all a timewasting exercise..CHECK YOUR FITTING AGAINST THIS ONE BEFORE BUYING and you may well save yourself time and effort.Read full review...

The pressure was on!!
Now I've had pressure guages in my time....but none...and I mean none...even come CLOSE to gauging the pressure as efficiently or as sensually as this little gem of a pressure gauge. My girlfriend was sceptical when I came bounding home one fateful evening and announced that I had found the Draper Tyre Pressure Gauge c/w Hose Air Release at such a reasonable price and she thought it must be a con...."it's just gots to be" she said. Well, she's since admitted that she was wrong (which is another victory on my part) and she can't quite believe the pressure gauging ability of this magnificent little unit. The only problem now is that I feel I might get too emotionally attached to 'Drapy McPressuresson' and it'll be a very sad day when he finally gives up the ghost....but that's morbid, for now let's just focus on the good times and the many happy years together that we will hopefully spend together. Easy to use without letting the tyre down !
Its easy to read and to take a pressure you simply press in onto the valve then realise, it holds the reading until you reset it be letting out by pressing the little button - so no having to bend over to read it, far far better than then others. In terms of accuracy again its very good and the rubber housing helps prevent damage fro knocks and accidental drops. If i lost it would buy another identical one - nuff saidRead full review...

Great product for motorcycles
I bought this for my motorcycle as the front discs make access difficult and with my old digital gauge I was losing air every time I went to check the pressure. The hose on this one is much easier to use and get a firm seal on the valve. The fittings are brass and the whole thing feels far better quality than the price suggests. Conventional, ever ready and convenient
Non battery, non digital kind of conventional gauge so always ready and easily read scale in psi and bar at the same time. Hose and swivel head press on connector. Another good feature when removed from tyre the pressure reading is retained on scale for viewing until the pressure release button is pressed when the reading resets to zero. Also believe this button can be used in the event of tyre overinflation but haven't tried this function yet. Use as confirmation of Air Hawk max reading and so far indicates spot on a accuracy.
