Use as an "add on" to another ruler

I bought this size because my friend showed me how to use this by setting it next to another ruler, like a 6" x 12" or a 6" x 24" to make it a 7'' size.
First, use your rotary cutter to cut the bottom portion, then before you reach the end of the 12 inch length, slide the one inch ruler up on edge of the 6 x 24 ruler and continue cutting with the rotary to cut longer lengths than the 12 inches.

I haven't tried using 3 rulers together, but I imagine you could use different combinations of the ruler sizes to get sizes other than what one ruler gives you.Read full review
