Convenience falls short

I needed some rechargeable batteries because the alkaline ones I was using would burn out to soon & it is expensive to keep replacing them. I was excited to get these & they do work the charge doesn't last very long so I am constantly having to recharge them. It's a hassle. I would like to get some more & that way I could rotate them and always have fresh batteries to use. I bought these to simplify my battery situation & spend less money. So far it has been a hassle always having to recharge them so soon. I don't know if these were older or if because they are smaller the just don't hold a big charge that lasts awhile. So in theory it's seemed a good plan & it is nice not having to replace the expensive batteries all the time. I'll leave it up to you to decide what works best for your situation.Read full review

Good batteries, prevents throwing away alkaline batteries.

Peculiar thing about these NiMH batteries

good deal, I have been using all sizes of re-chargeable batteries for years. Gave these a full charge and the oddest thing is they will work with some devices and will not work with others. I test the voltage @ 1.5vdc ea but some devices will only work with regular alkaline batteries. I am going to do more research.Read full review

Go green saving money!

I have about 30 of these in different sizes, the first ones are about 8 years old and they're still working.
Use them in remote controls, soap dispensers, flashlights, garbage can sensors, remote control cars.

Use rechargeable batteries everywhere to save money!

This is a great product in many ways. I use these batteries in all sorts of devices, from cameras and the TV remote to keyboards and mice, as well as the battery-powered motion lights in the hallway and stairwell (for safety). Over the years that I have been using rechargeable batteries for these devices, I'm sure I have avoided using (and throwing away) MANY hundreds of conventional batteries, which is a benefit for the environment as well as saving me money. These nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) batteries don't have the same memory problems as the old nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries, and so can be "topped-up" anytime you have a chance to be ready when you need them. Also, this chemistry is not as dangerous as the Lithium chemistries, and they have increased the "shelf-life" of a charge to be comparable to other rechargeable batteries. Read full review
