This reconditioned unit packs a BIG punch!
The 1st day I received it, I read the instruction manual and charged the unit with the included USB charging cable and power adapter. It took 12 hours to bring to a full charge with a steady green light on the charge status indicator. On day 2, I jump-started a diesel-powered wood chipper with a dead battery including glow plugging. The chipper rolled over & fired right up.
It made me a believer.
This unit I purchased is a used, refurbished item. The compact size is deceiving. The power unit handled jumping an 850 CCA dead battery with no starter lag. The unit & bag with included accessories and manual tucks away nicely in the truck's center console or under a seat and can be recharged by the 12VDC accessory outlet in the vehicle. It still had 3 of 4 charge lights lit after jump starting the chipper. The unit automatically stops charging when the battery reaches full capacity.
The size and weight of this power pack is so much better than lugging a large, heavy and cumbersome lead-acid battery power pack around and carrying it behind the truck seat. It beats jockeying my vehicle into position to get close enough to run jumper cables.
This is a compact, lightweight, portable and powerful heavy-duty power pack. The USB connection allows cell phone and tablet charging and the built-in bright white LED light is a handy and convenient feature. The battery cables can only be plugged in one way with reverse polarity protection. The only complaints I have is the 8 gauge jumper cables are short and the battery clamps are smaller than regular battery terminal clamps. I also wish the unit had a hard shell storage case instead of a bag with a drawstring. Nit-pickings aside, I will buy another one.
Update 12/7/20:
I pulled the Duracell Lithium-Ion jump starter out of my truck after sitting in the console for 4 months and jumpstarted my diesel subcompact tractor. It worked flawlessly. I'm very happy and satisfied with this product. The big Schumacher Pro Series lead-acid battery power pack permanently resides in my garage as a back up.Read full review

Seems like a great product!
I have not jump started a car yet, so i'm going on faith this will work correctly when needed. It does appear to be a high quality product.
My only complaint is this does not come with a real carrying case. This comes with a small nylon draw string bag. I'll have to purchase real case to store this in as the parts are just loose in the little bag. You should figure this in the cost if you plan to buy this unit. Read full review

Better then described
As described works great bought it for daughter learning to drive, she taught her mother how to use it and it saved them from being stuck on the side of the road. I tested it starting a v10 engine in an f250 with completely dead battery and started right up. Has also started Lexus sc430 with v8 and a ford v8 truck that was stopped on the side of the road.
