Same old formula

The main appeal for me is creating a character and playing Dynasty Warriors with them. If they included that in the main series I probably wouldn't touch the Empires games. The strategy component is not very deep and there are some very odd things that happen throughout it (start the game, get married, have a kid within a few months, a year or so later they are an adult and join your kingdom?)
Having said that - if strategy is what you want, stick with Romance of the Three Kingdoms games instead. If you want a simplistic Dynasty Warriors where you can make your own character and pretend to make meaningful decisions while not smashing thousands of skulls, this is the one for you.Read full review

Meh. I definitely wouldn't call the condition like new. The case plastic has some warping and sticker residue. But it's good enough and the game disc does work.
