Good quality; great suction. Not easy to open and a spare battery would be good.
Good bit of kit with easy to connect accessories. Well balanced too. IMHO a spare battery should be provided as on 'max' I was unable to vacuum our two flights of stairs which was disappointing. It's early days but think it's a bit pricey although well made.
Emptying the thing is not intuitive and the IKEA type sticker is not that obvious for right handed folk to see. Took the two of us literally 8 minutes to fathom it out, something a couple of sentences could have rectified in a written guide.Read full review

It’s ok but a little disappointed.
Product works well to a degree. Run time is shorter than stated, difficult to empty. It would be useful to have a long wand attachment for hard to reach places. Also quite heavy.

Great for those small messes
This is a great addition to the household appliance cupboard. It's easy to use for those small jobs that you can't be bothered to get the main vacuum cleaner out for. It's also great for the car.
It in no way replaces a normal vacuum cleaner.
The only reason I gave 4 not 5 stars is that the battery doesn't last as long as I expected but a mate explained the reason why - on full power these things suck a lot of energy. Just watch your electric meter when you have your normal cleaner on full power!Read full review

Reliable handy tool that's easy to use
It's better than OK rather than better than expected - I have another similar hand-held Dyson vacuum which is still working fine after more than a decade, which is why I got the latest similar Dyson for upstairs - since I am now disabled and it's easier to have one vacuum on each floor. My dyson is better on carpets than my Miele vacuum. The charge does last approx 30 mins, it’s a lot less if you use the booster. Really handy for getting to those difficult places like skirting boards, stairs and under furniture. The only drawback is having to keep your finger on the trigger, gets a bit tiring.

Another Great Cordless Vac from Dyson
Purchased to replace unreliable DC59, which had given sterling service until it only worked intermittently. The V7 is infinitely better designed than DC59. Easier to empty and select suction settings, plus a little longer battery life and much quieter.
Pity the attachments of the DC59 are not compatible with the V7, but an adaptor can be purchased to enable some, but not the power-head attachments.

Very useful bit of kit
We bought this handheld Dyson for our motorhome to clean up when we are away and also so that we don’t need to lug a big cleaner across the drive when we get back from a trip.
It is superb and it fits the bill perfectly. I’m sure it would be useful at home too but it will normally live in our ‘bus’
