Easiest way to deal with failed brush bar motor

Having dismantled old brush head (fiddly and needs torx screwdrivers) I confirmed with the aid of Youtube that the motor had gone. Apparently when the motor has burnt out the circuit board has like as not been damaged. Don't have the tech knowledge to confirm this but I decided to replace both. Buying this whole replacement head instead of just motor and circuit board proved to be the cheaper option. Also it's dead easy to fit (unclip the old one and clip in the new). By comparison, replacing only the motor and the circuit board is fiddly and time consuming. Also I now have a spare brush roller and belt should I need them.Read full review

Bought it to replace a cleaner head in which the motor had burnt out. Very easy and quick to exchange the cleaner heads. Only one clip holds it in place, and it took about five minutes to do. My DC24 is now running normally again.Read full review

2 minutes to swap

In the past I have had brush bar motor issues so took the whole head to pieces and replaced the motor. It took an hour or so & was only £10 cheaper than the entier unit. Fitted it dead easy and workd from the sart seve in exxess of 59 quid

Came very quickly and csn send the old one back with 5 quid and postage and 10 quid for old part saving even more from dyson direct qote of 109 pounds for the same part !!
