GE Ice box Auger
Purchase this product about 3-weeks ago. Instructions came with it, so made the installation very simple and easy. Been working great ever since - just like a new one. Didn't have to call a repairman. Saved big $$Read full review

missing screws and bar bracket is not notch to fit between the engagement guide
the new part was missing screws & the bar bracket was not between the two guides on the bar since the bracket had not notches cut in the then to slide in between them. I used my screws & bar bracket out of my old unit. The new unit does not crush ice very well. It has a different auger style and seems to kick the guide inside with ice so it by passes the ice crusher and you get mostly whole cubes,.. I tried getting other augers to use in my old unit but they are either too long or the the bar shaft is not notched deep enough which holds the blades I have. Read full review

Replaced GE refrigerator broken ice maker auger
Original auger for my GE ice maker broke a fin. Replaced it with this auger. Couldn’t be happier. Came with instructions, shipped to me promptly, seems to fit and work properly. I can get ice out of the bin again. Yeah! If you need to do this, slip the chopping blades off onto a pencil then you can easily slide them right back onto the new auger in the proper order. This auger fit as OEM with one exception. The steel insert on output end is approx. 2 mm smaller in diameter from the original one. It still went together and appears so far not to have any problems. It's only to bad all metal ones aren't available.Read full review

My in-door ice dispenser no longer dispensed or broke up ice for beverages. Turns out the piece was broken, problably from normal wear and tear. I looked up the schematics and this was the part # WR17X11705 for GE. It came quickly, nicely wrapped, and with a thank you note.
