I was so mad.....

For some reason, (not thinking to well) I thought that this would work on my ibanez Floyd rose. Be aware that not all FR tremolos are the same. Hardly nothing fits my guitar and I wanted drop d at the drop of a switch so badly.... after a few days of weeping.....
This is amazing product. Very good quality. Highly recommended. Just make sure it works with you’re specific tremolo..... :(

D-Tuna - good idea, not a great execution of the idea.

The D-Tuna is a hit and miss item. All the videos and instructions say to not use the fine tuners that exists on a Floyd Rose, however the D-Tuna that I received is not "big" enough to actually push the full step to an "E" when it is pushed in. What this means is tuning to a "D" when it is in the out position will result in a "D#"/"Eb" when it is supposed to be an "E". Using the "fine tuner" on the D-tuna will not push it that extra 1/2 step, and the slant becomes so great you can not use the D-Tuna at all.

The concept is simple - when the D-Tuna is "out" the Floyd Rose fine tuner is not doing anything. So tune to a "D". Now when pushed in the Floyd Rose fine tuner *IS* going to do somehting - it will add the extra 1/2 step. So you tune, using the Floyd Rose fine tuner, to an "E" when the D-Tuna is pushed in. It takes some fudging, but the end result is once the nut is locked down you will be able to use the D-Tunas' fine tuner to fine tune without the it becoming angled so much you can not use it.

Your mileage may vary but I have read a lot of customer posts about how finicky this is to keep in tune. This may be because all the "instructions" say to not use the fine tuners on the Floyd Rose.

The other thing is that I ordered the limited edition red, and after 15 minutes of use the red along the top (Where the EVH is) has scratched off. So unless you get the red one on sale do not pay the extra for it - stick with chrome.

Great product

Block your floating bridge to create stable tuning and then you are in a great position to use this product. Fit my Ibanez RG with Edge tremolo. Fit is fairly tight, used the longest screw, short one didn't fit. Great product. Instructions aren't the greatest, just watch a YouTube video.Read full review...

Great tuning for EVH Wolfgang

I installed a D-Tuna on the Evh Wolfgang.
Easy to install, easy to configure, precise work.
I recommend adding a little smooth lubrication.
Attention! Applicable only for Floyd Rose single action.
Suitable for left-handed guitars.

If you like using your Floyd Rose don’t buy it!

Had no clue you had to block your Floyd Rose off for this to work properly. It also extends to far back and will scratch your guitar if your trem sets to low. It’s doesn’t state anywhere I could find besides the instruction manual that you have to block your trem? Not to mention this shouldn’t cost more than $10 it’s a small piece aluminum?? Would not recommend if you have a true free float trem this was designed for a flush mount tremolo but they don’t tell you that until after you buy it! Read full review...

Great

Does exactly what it says it can do once setup properly. Only thing that bugs me is that the top of the unit get scratched and the color wears off in one spot. I think the black would have looked better on my black floyd. Read full review...

The EVH d tuna is the easiest way to detune and restore tuning!

If you have the right floyd rose tremello, you can use the de tuna and instantly change the tuning without touching the tuning pegs! Thank you for selling these guitar parts to me!
Sincerely,

Works great

Works great as long as you stabilize the floyd on non recessed just lower the floyd rose backing plate to the body or use a block or tremolo stop so it does not float(arm pull up) and remember push down before you pull it out other wise you will damage itRead full review...

Edward is a blessing

Something so simple. It works perfect, I was in doubt until I installed it. took just a couple of minutes. And once I tuned my guitar it stayed in tune D and E. Mind blowing, problem of tuning down solved. Highly highly recommended.Read full review...
