Great dimmer / speed controller
Exactly what I was looking for - silent when controlling incandescant light. Some hum when controlling large 400W fan - but to be fair the hum is coming through the fan, not from the controller - it is an artifact I think of the way the power is being reduced / the fan motor not being designed to run at lower speeds. Does what it says
Simples, just plug in and it works. Best of all it makes the wife happy and she can dim the lamp at will so I'm the hero.
Just to be aware this does not work with LED bulbs.

Potentially misleading description but otherwise good.
The description could be misleading. "13A Socket" could be misinterpreted as meaning it is rated at 13A, whereas it's only rated at 40-280W (1.2A).
This is no problem when used for it's primary purpose of dimming lamps and I would recommend it for that purpose but not any other. Read full review
