Good for chipping small branches
It works well for twigs up to one inch which is why I said yes to whether I recommend it, but the feed chute makes mulching leaves and pine needles very cumbersome. Same with very small twigs. Does not work for rose branches or others with thorns. Soft stalks like decorative grasses clogged the discharge.Read full review

Does not mulch even dry leaves.
The Earthwise mulcher doesn't mulch. I put in a batch of dry leaves & litteraly had to push the leaves in almost one at a time. I can crunch them by hand faster & better than this mulcher. I expected it to draw the leaves in but that's not the case. The leaves must be pushed in with the provided plunger & it took at least 5 minutes to push a hopper full of dry leaves through. Very disappointed.

don't waste your money
it is good for small sticks, the feeder needs to be larger than it is for larger sticks, crooked sticks will not fit in the holes provided

Great machine for the price!
Great product; does what it is intended to do. The collection bin is a nice touch since it allows the user to distribute the shreds without having to move the device. It does jam on occasion, particularly when shredding larger branches, and that brings up my only complaint: Clearing the jam requires an extensive number of full revolutions of the dial that holds the hopper in place in order to access the blade area. It seems an easier method could be utilized to open the device. Ditto for removing the metal piece that holds the blade apparatus in place (to change the blades or clear additional jammed debris). Eight screws must be removed; a few are difficult to access with the screwdriver. But otherwise, this is a very good machine, especially given it's low cost.Read full review
