Easton pawl change
This is not a good systen, the pawls appear to wear very quickly, in my case extremely quckly. The general view in the cycling press is similar. Many alternative systems can last a long time, in some cases the life of the bike. This particular Easton freewheel hub design seems to be the achilles heel of the Easton range. In less than eight months the ratchet system slipped and scrunched. The new parts have solved the problem, but unless the pawls are a new batch of higher quality I fear that this will be only temporary. The next purchase I suspect will be a new wheelset.Read full review...

Good replacement
Definitely something you need in case you lost a pawl. You don't want only 2 pawl contact when grinding on the mountain.
