Most of my life I have struggled with getting a complete shape edge on my blades. I have known about the Edge Pro system for quite some time and finally bought one. The instructions on the DVD and the pre marked settings really make it simple to set the angle you need. Once the angle is set it will not change and puts an edge on the entire length of your blade that is consistent. Changing stones is very fast and very quickly makes the edge extremely sharp. The edge also holds up very well.
I highly recommend this sharpening system. You also do not produce heat to the blade as would happen with wheels and grinders. Only the the bare minimum of metal is removed.Read full review

Excellent Knife Sharpener

For the person that wants a razor edge on his knives, this item is just what the Dr. ordered. The learning curve is a little tedious, but there are a lot of YouTube videos (and a supplied CD) that are most helpful. I would recommend picking up some cheap knives at garage sales or flea markets to practice on. I found that the hardest thing to learn is to hold the blade steady and use light cuts. This thing is great!

If you want a hair-splitting edge on your blade, this thing will give it to you! Even on cobalt. You’ll have to see it for yourself to believe it but it’s true. Better than expected sharpener

Watched several how to videos on using this sharpener so felt comfortable that I could use it successfully. Set up was simple and I have been extremely happy with my results.I have never been able to sharpen knives to this degree, ever! Very happy that I gave it a try. Well worth the cost ,to me anyway.
