A classic comedy horror.

Do you love killing spiders with a comic voice. Action and very funny with horror.
This is definitely for great brilliant entertainment.
I don't like spiders but I love this film.
It's not just done for horror as many only see it.
There's very good brilliant comedy in it also.

Good clean, family entertainment.

The dvd cover pretty much sums up this movie. It's good, clean, 'tongue in cheek fun'.

There's an impressive cast & the spiders are very good, which makes up for the totally unbelievable storyline & unadventurous dialogue.

All in all, it's a great family movie, which is perfect to cuddle up to on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Good old-fashioned B-movie fun

As its title suggests, this is a light-hearted, good natured schlock horror B-movie in the style of 90s spider flick 'Arachnophobia' (the title comes from a David Arquette ad-lib, replacing the original title 'Arach Attack', which sounded too much like an impending real life horror show for comfort).

Arquette is just as good at playing very funny, tongue-in-cheek material completely straight here as he was in the 'Scream' films, and the rest of the cast is also very strong (in particular, keep an eye out for the performances of the hilarious Doug E. Doug and a young Scarlett Johansson). CGI effects tend to be somewhat hit and miss but the comedy element of this film allows the suspension of disbelief to be that much easier. The audio commentary which also features David Arquette is a good laugh as well. All in all this is really enjoyable, good creepy fun. Recommended.

Extreme Laughter!!!!!

What do you get when you cross toxic waste with a bunch of exotic spiders? Eaten!!! Mutated, ravenous arachnids the size of SUVs invade a tiny Arizona town in this gleeful comedy monster-mash well worth a watch humour and horror rolled into one.Read full review...

Think Arachnophobia but bigger.

I enjoyed Eight Legged Freaks (shocking considering I hate spiders). But it does had a huge comical element to it which is why it worked as an independant and wasn't just a remake of Arachnophobia (a film I actually love despite the spidery content.) If you do have a fear of spiders, I wouldn't suggest watching it either alone or in the dark. It helps to be able to see your surroundings and have someone to bury your head into.

Some of the characters were a bit 2D and it was a bit of a rushed storyline, but considering its almost a spoof movie, what do you really expect?

I'd recommend it as an opener to a movie night - something to watch whilst the pizza's cooking and the beer's chilling.
