Good Alternative to “Blue”
We switched to Elson Green a couple of years ago, it works as well as the “Blue” with fewer environmental issues and no drawbacks I can find. It also doesn’t stain so badly if you spill or splash it when charging the toilet.
I have noticed some crystallised deposits around the neck of the cap/measure, but they wash off easily.

Will never use any other other product for our caravan
We only use this elsan wherever we go. Can be used on all sites no matter what type of drainage system they have. We use this for the toilet cassette, the flush and the waste water. Great product
Elsan toilet fluid works extremely well. The odour is so much more pleasant than the old style fluid and doesn't invade the campervan so you are not aware of it at all. It really does dissolve all solids so emptying the tank is no problem plus it can be emptied into any type of system which is a bonus when travelling and using small rural sites.

Probably the best chemical toilet solution available, particularly if you rely on a septic tank for disposal. It seems to do the best job of keeping the thetford motorhome toilet smells to a minimum, does a great job of breaking down the contents of the toilet for easier emptying and is safe for septic tanks. It's usually available at a reasonable price from some vendors such as this one (blackmoreleisure) and tends to last me several weeks of full-time use. (two adults). Occasionally I'll try some other brand such as thetford's own 'green' tablets and notice a distinct difference in their ability to break down the contents often making emptying harder, as well as stronger smells from the toilet when opened.
