Dramatic and Different

It's was a big task for Enya to top her 2000 smash hit album, A Day Without Rain, so she decided to do something different for her follow-up album, Amarantine. The first few seconds into the first track, you'll realise this album is way different! It opens up with "Less Than A Pearl", featuring dramatic and almost symphonic percussion and more vocals and bigger vocals than previous songs; it's almost like an enormous choir and symphony! The title track, "Amarantine", is very much like "Only Time" - smooth and melodic.

Track 5 is "The River Sings". If you like her 1988 hit song, "Orinoco Flow", then you'll love this song! It's radio-friendly, almost dance and will get stuck in your head! The album doesn't feature any Irish songs, but instead has a beautiful Japanese track and one in Loxian, a language made up that was inspired by The Lord Of the Rings. The deluxe edition of the album feature a bonus cd of Christmas holiday music. Check out "The Magic Of the Night". This awesome song was lucky enough to open the lighting of the tree ceremony at Rockefeller Plaza, in New York! Calming brilliance.

In my humble opinion Enya has the greatest singing voice I've ever had the pleasure to hear. So it's fair to say I'm biased. Amarantine was Enya's sixth non-compilation album and consists of twelve track which display her immense vocal variety to its fullest - she's also plays all the instruments heard.
Can this album be surpassed, well yes I suppose so, the special Christmas Edition comes as a two disk set with an extra four tracks.Read full review...

Enya's glorious return brings another masterpiece!

One of the biggest selling female artists returns with her new album 'Amarantine'. After nearly five years from her last album 'A day without rain', i knew this album was going to be special! On my first listening to the album i was completely blown away. The first track 'Less than a pearl' made my body tingle with pure emotion and reminded me instantly why Enya in my opinion is easily on the best artists in the world. Each track from 'Amarantine' is emotional, beautiful, memorable and for lack of a better word 'heavenly'. Personally i believe that music is all about emotion, and the emotions you receive from the music. I don't listen to anything if i don't feel anything from it. Enya's albums are always worth the long wait and 'Amarantine' is no exception. I cannot wait until the next new album.....Read full review...

Enya - Amarantine

From a well known artist, Enya continues to produce extremly good relaxing songs and music.
I have a stressfull job and find that listening to her helps me to relax and unwind considerably.
She has a warm and welcoming voice, I do not know of another artist that has this kind of effect.
Enya is most likely best known for Bodicea.
Anybody that has not tried her music I strongly recommend it.Some have a very strong content to maybe some special event in your life.
