Epson FastFoto FF-680W Photo Scanner

Not cheap but superb scanner

I have scanned thousands of pictures from 1960s to 2004 when I bought a digital camera. The early ones had deteriorated but the enhanced scan facility is excellent and the digital image is so much improved. The speed of the scanner is quite exceptional. Epson FF 680

Yes, about 30 seconds to scan at 300 dpi, but a few minutes to then process each batch so not as quick as you would expect. 600 dpi takes 4 times as long. Quality ok but not as good as a flat bed scanner.Read full review

Excellent and hugely rapid photo scanner - surpassed all expectations!

Excellent piece of equipment - so fast it's not true and not only does it scan the photo's in one second each, It will also produce a second copy of any writing on the back of the photograph.

Even better though - it will also give you (at the same time!) an enhanced copy as well that will remove any red-eye and make faded colours come back to their original colour and lose their faded look, so your old photo's look so much better that the original you put into the machine
