Of this, the original concept album, the premiere American recording, the cinema recording, the 2006 London recording, or the 2012 American recording, this is probably the most staid and least imaginative. It polishes the rough edges and irrelevant sub-plots of the concept album yet lacks its freshman charm; meanwhile it has lower production value than the premiere American recording, which was a double album. The cinema version benefits from Madonna and Antonio, while the later recordings benefit from the new music and rearranged songs from the movie.
