Shortcoming
You presume too much.
I do have a problem with the carpet sweeper which is that the handle screws together with two screwing ends. These UNSCREW as I use the sweeper., so irritating! Other products use a different system which means that one clicks over a knob to secure and alter length. So that means no need for screwing together and the 'knobs' prevent the handle coming apart.Read full review...

All looks, non effective beneathg the hood!
It looks the part, just like the old Ewbanks I grew up with as a kid/teen in the early 60s and up through the 70s, but that's where the comparison ends. This model scarcely works at all, it just moves the bits on the carpet around and actually takes/sweeps up very few indeed! When I was curious to take a look inside the 2 underside chambers, the moment I turned it over, what few bits it had picked up fell out back onto the floor! It's really ineffective and seems like a cheap proper Ewbank copy, not anywhere as near as the real McCoy! It needs a lever to lower or raise the underside brushes too to suit the level of one's flooring or type of carpet you may have....I am Not impressed or happy with this at all, it just seems like a cheap and unusable mock-up of a real Ewbank! Easy Ewbank Sweeper

This is a great little carpet sweeper. I prefer the old fashioned manual ones to the battery driven ones, they are much more reliable. The only thing about this one, is that its a little fiddly to empty. Usually there is a switch to pull or press, but in this case you have to hold it over the bin and press the underneath hatch of the dust pan to release the contents on one side, then do the same to the other side. Very good value, it very handy as i have woodern flooring, but i have a big rug which i used have to get the hoover out every day to hoover.
