The handy carpet sweeper

I am so thrilled with me Ewbank carpet sweeper, I just wish I had bought one years ago! It picks up so much dust and bits from the carpet, I run mine round every other day and it is so fast and fills up each time I'm amazed wear does all that come from I can't see anything on the floor and it doesn't look like it needs doing !
I find it hard to use the vacuum cleaner much now so this is light little Ewbank is perfect.
I remember my mother had a Ewbank carpet sweeper which is what made me go for this brand, she used it regularly too when I was a little girl and loved hers too.
And a bonus I have noticed my breathing has improved since using it which is just '"well I can't express how wonderful it is as I'm Asthmatic and it means so very much to be able to breath more freely in my own home "
Thank you Ewbank for my carpet sweeper I will be using it for years to come , it sweeps it cleans in a fraction of the time of a vacuum cleaner, i just love it..

A REAL 'CLEAN SWEEP'

I was amazed at the amount of 'dirt' that was in the machine after the first 'speedsweep'. I had thought my carpets were fairly dust free before!

Lightweight useful sweeper.

I just wanted it to pick up bits from all my rugs between hovering. I have laminated flooring throughout my house and it does pick up some bits.

great little piece of household equipment

A handy, very old design, with noteworthy limitations.

I remember my gran using similar mechanical things in the early 1960s, when she did not want to go through the hassle of operating her loud, heavy old Hoover. Of course, this Ewbank Sweeper is not as good as a modern Vacuum Cleaner. However, the Ewbank is silent and will not disturb the neighbours if one needs to clean-up during the night. As a back-up device it works well. Obviously, it does not beat as it sweeps. The pan fills-up quickly and requires many more trips to the dustbin. There is no evidence to suggest that the Ewbank picks up Flea Eggs. Annoyingly, the single brush and casing leaves a 2cm border around the bottom of furniture furniture and walls.Read full review...
