Perfect radio for listening on the move
As always with Roberts products, the quality is excellent.I have replaced the supplied earbuds with over-ear headphones because they are more comfortable and better quality but,in all other respects, the sound quality is superb. There are 5 presets for DAB and 5 for FM which is adequate. When selecting a station with a preset button,it is easy to lose the preset if the button is pressed for too long.Stations are selected by means of a flywheel on the side which can be a little awkward.Sometimes,it fails to respond when pressed or moved up or down.It needs getting used to!There is a good sized screen on the front which gives all the info about stations and music being listened to in DAB.The display is very easy to read. There are no bad points to this radio. If you want to listen to radio on the move,it is an ideal choice.Read full review

Disappointed. An expensive mistake.
Instructions complicated and difficult to follow. I still haven't managed to pre-set stations after several tries.
Don't know if I have small ear-holes - the earpieces keep dropping out.
No way of attaching to body - could do with a clip. I bought it to use while gardening; in my pocket, the volume keeps changing.
I have 2 other Roberts radios, both over 10 years old, which are superb.

Recommended but some drawbacks
Excellent sound quality and easy to operate without having to take it out of my pocket which is ideal when walking the dog. Had been using an FM/AM Sony portable radio and hadn’t appreciated how much better and enjoyable listening to a DAB reception would give. Intuitive to use. 4 presets on DAB, would have preferred couple more. Toggle wheel on side to scroll through stations then select by pressing it in can be a little fiddly if you inadvertently press whilst scrolling. Some reviews say this radio eats batteries but I use Uniross 2700 amh rechargeable batteries (takes two AA) which has given just over two weeks use on approx 1 hr per day. Batteries make the radio slightly heavier and bulkier than the Pure move R3 DAB radio which hubby has but I didn’t want a built in battery. Pure is of equal sound quality and has 3 presets and charged using a USB. Really depends on personal preferences with the above in mind.
UPDATE: 2 years on - hubbies Pure Move has failed to recharge and been disposed of. Roberts still going strong with independently charged rechargeable batteries. He has now also purchased this Roberts radio!Read full review

Nice portable radio
Pros
Good design
Good sound, through 3rd party headphones
Works well in a car
Uses AA batteries
Cons
Headphones supplied poor
Battery life is ok, but in long term will be expensive to run.
Needs a case to protect it to prevent marking (one not supplied)
Overall
For the money paid, more than happy. Works better than own / no brand models commonly available.Read full review

Clear sound, very good value for money.
Good sound, nice product. I am unable to work out how to move from FM to DAB. Not clear at all.

Good build quality but a bit fiddly between bands
Good quality radio, solid build. The only downside is it is fiddly to use to side click wheel to select between FM and DAB bands. Could do with separate switch. Great value.

Best dab radio ever
After several poor quality dab radios I thought I'd buy British and I'm not disappointed. Quality product

Good in parts.....
The earpieces that came with the radio failed to work in stereo after a few uses and fell apart within a fortnight of daily use. The signal can drop out when I'm moving around and requires the radio to be restarted. But that could just be the quality of the DAB signal in West Dorset, Otherwise the radio itself is well made and has survived daily use since I bought it. Read full review
