Small footprint at excellent price
Excellent module and good value for money. Bought to use instead of more expensive SaprkFun's FT232RL breakout board. Had no problem in using it in custom project with Android connection.
Just be aware that this product has mini-USB connector and NOT a micro-USB one as Sparkfun's one has. It is also few mm longer.Read full review

Good value
This has worked fine with Arduino pro mini clone boards, I've only used 5V so far, but it's nice to know I can program 3.3V boards with the change of a jumper. I didn't have any problem with drivers after I had rebooted the PC. I didn't have a mini-B USB cable so I had to buy one, but otherwise can't fault it and great value.Read full review

Happy with FTDI serial adapter
Pretty much exactly what I wanted. I should have checked the usb connection on it though since it is 'mini' usb rather 'micro' usb - I assumed the latter. So make sure you have a micro usb connector in your kit. Very happy with its quality, speed of delivery and it just works.
