Worth the money
I bought these because of the customer reviews. I wasn't disappointed. They blend and layer well. I was impressed with the speed of the delivery. There is a small amount of flaking and I recommend buying a colour stop pencil sharpener that prevents oversharpening. I also bought Derwent Lightfast. I bought the sets of 12 and 24 Polychromos. This was the cheapest way. I have several duplicates which is a shame but still cheaper than buying individual pencils.Read full review...

A great pencil
This is a great pencil. It has strong pigment, especially when the colour is built up by layers. The colours blend well when mixed to create other colours. The lightfast ratings for most of the pencils are superb. This is a requirement for exhibiting and selling pencil paintings. These pencils blend well and can be erased to a certain extent with less point breakage.
Because these pencils have a thicker core and are oil based they have a less likely chance of breaking when sharpened to a fine point which is definitely a good thing,I love them.
