Entertaining lovecraftian story game.

Mansions of madness is a fun miniatures based game set in a lovecraftian world that uses an app to control the monsters and puzzles. The players have to explore the map to unravel the story, so as there is only a set amount of stories and that they are most entertaining on the first playthrough the entertainment value is not great. However you do get some awesome miniatures to paint and play with and the game mechanics are smooth and easy to use. There are expansions which provide new stories but these are expensive and (in some cases) rare. You can also use the first edition of the game with the second edition but again its pricey. Brutally hard

My sealed box was missing around 5 parts including Rita Young's mini and unfortunately ffg have stopped Thier replacement parts scheme. I love MoM, great game with replayability

This is awesome, though the game is expensive it's totally worth it for the content. You get 5/15 scenarios free in the app with the game and you can unlock others through an app store payment for 2, or the rest with expansions.
Each scenario can vary from 60-360 minutes so you get a lot for your money, even just with the base game. The DLC ones that are app store buyable are a little cheap and underdone creatively but the rest I've really enjoyed.
This game isn't perfect but for the content and replayability that comes from the app randomly generating maps, items and other things, I really think it's great. I've got closer t the friend I play it with as we have to work together and be cooperative.
It's pretty quick to learn and know what you're doing and the app is intuitive (mostly).

Excellent game

Bit pricey but well worth it. If you have the first edition of this game it's still worth buying because you can still use the original with this version.
