This product is ideal for light use. I had a clear out of paperwork and it would keep cutting out (as it says it would) after approx 2 mins use. Then frustratingly had to wait about 20/25 minutes for it to cool down! But it is ideal for light use which I now use it for. Strong cutting mechanism for 4/5 sheets. You get what you pay for!

After using for about 10 minutes (in total) in short bursts, the machine clogged up by putting single sheets in. Now the motor just whirs and the cutters don't move at all. Tried un-clogging it with screwdriver, cutters are now paper free, still nothing but noise. Going to try stripping it down before it goes in the bin.Read full review

So far after a couple of weeks and usage e verything is ok

1st its a cross shredder which is more safe than a strip shredder, it has not jammed so far when I have been using it, that kept happening with my old unbranded model. So overall I would recommend this unit, One other reason I purchased this item was getting Kaspersky Internet security for three computers for a year around £40 saving on just that in itself.

Good shredder for the price but a bit noisy compared to others

This is a good shredder, it seems to handle the paper quite well and so far (4 weeks after buying it) it has not given me any problems.

The only thing that I would say is that when it actually shredds the paper, it is a bit more noisy than other shredders I have had.

Also when the paper has finished being shredded, it continues to shred for a bit longer so I am never sure if it has got a bit of paper stuck in it somewhere or if this was normal behaviour, a bit annyoying but not the end of the world.Read full review

Not at all flimsy. When unpacking I found the motorised section reassuringly heavy.
