An excellent alternative instead of those expensive harps you see that lasts the same!
In the early times of playing gigs, I wanted to have high quality, but the reality is that you can blow a reed on an expensive harmonica just as easily as a great deal. I switched to the fender blues deluxe series when I was gifted a set of them. If you are a daily player, one of these babies (in any key) will last you a good 4-6 months, depending how hard you blow. I bend notes and stuff so the lifetime isn't greatly long compared to a casual player. For a casual player, these would last you six months to a year before you need to replace it. If you play out regular and practice the same, it should last you a good 3-4 months. Since very expensive alternatives wind up with a blown reed just as quickly. There fore, for a gigging musician. these are a beautiful sounding harp that will last as good as the more expensive alternatives. While they have plastic reeds instead of wooden, you can hardly tell the difference, Whether around the fire, at the local bar, or recording it (which sounds great), this harp is a great, reasonably priced alternative to you harp players out there.
*I play guitar and harp at the same time, For those that just play harp, you can really tremolo the notes easy with your back hand. These really ave me money in the long run. Highly recommended!!!Read full review

Rich tone, strong feel
I added harmonica to my list of performance instruments a few years ago. I still don't play it much, but have gained some insight as to the relative quality of various brands and models. My first purchase was a set of Hohner Blues Band harmonicas, which were ok for what I was using them for. I replaced the most used key with a cheaper brand later, and realized that there is a sharp difference among different brands. When the replacement instruments began to fail, I shopped around and found the Fender Blues Deluxe at what I considered a very reasonable price. I felt that I couldn't really lose by trying one out. The result was a complete change in mindset about harmonicas in general. This instrument has a big, rich tone and ease of playing that I had not experienced before. It feels heavy and strong, and I think it will last well, as opposed to others I have used. At this early stage in my experience with the Fender, I am well pleased.Read full review

A good deal for first harp, for sure!
From pics, I think the other 4 star review seems right... a bit bulky.
-works well, and is cheap with free shipping (where I bought mine).
Am a beginner, so I don't know how it compares for bending draw notes.
(have also heard that the lowest key (G) will be tougher for beginners to bend)
I like it... -Cheers!Read full review

Fender quality. I trust!
This is as good or better than over priced Hohners. It is made very well. Only time will tell if I buy others. They ALL self-destruct, no matter what one pays. I will evaluate before I make future purchases. If you keep your PRICES reasonable, I'll be back for more, as I need a few other keys. I will give it a good chance. Thank you.Read full review

I know it’s not the best harmonica made ...
I know it’s not the best harmonica made but it’s fun to practice with. I have trouble blowing out low notes on it but otherwise it’s great!

Great harp for the price.
This harp plays well, has good tone, and is the third one I own. The case is tough and the cleaning cloth is handy.

High quality and great sound.
I knew that Fender always made high quality products, and their Deluxe Blues harps prove it. Hohner definitely has competition out there.

Real nice looking/sounding G harp ! What I found strange was that it will not stick to my magnetic mic harmonica holder. I've never had that happen before.
