Do your homework well before purchase so you understand where it will fit and if it will be unsightly

The item is compact in the vertical plane at the expense of flexibility of limited scope to turn/adjust it side to side. It can also be angled slightly (to about 30 degrees from plumb). Not quite so clear is that the item should be fitted to the return pipe rather than the flow and the unit also requires the water flow to be from bottom to top. Many boilers are fitted with the flow and return pipework routed out of the top of the boiler to avoid the unsightly appearance of pipework below. It may prove a challenge to design the pipework to accommodate this flow orientation and considerably more if fitting this unit to an existing installation.Read full review

Will work for Years, Read the Instructions

It is exactly what is stated on the box. It works flawlessly at removing all iron particles especially from old systems, even when the inhibitor level is low. Cleaning the filter is easy, just follow instructions. There's no need to remove the cover to clean it, renew o-ring if you do. Do NOT remove the drain tap from the body of the filter, it's factory fitted. The inhibitor aerosol can be added via the filter.Read full review

make sure filter is the new type

the filter was the old type where you put spacers and o rings in so you can alter direction of flow and it never sealed so had to buy a up to date one so wasted 75 quid
