The best!

I've tried so many rust products over the years and nothing has ever really worked well. This stuff though... it is very, very good. I'm a farmer with plenty rusty things to try it on and it works a treat. Follow the instructions and it does what you want. I'm doing up an old Ford tractor at the moment and this stuff has been invaluable. You can paint over it once it is dry and it leaves a good surface. Best Rust Killer yet.

Works well..ideal if the area treated is damp...ideal in car body areas....I mix a little water with it to use....keep the item as damp as possible for as long as possible.....After the item is coated cover to stop drying out.....Dont put items direct in the product as it seems to need oxygen to work.? I have immersed items and it has little effect.
Keeps rusted items from further rust for many months....I spray under my Land Rover / car onto areas that are rusty and the black coating lasts for months..even in winter..
Ideal time to use in the evening when the air is damp and it works well if items are left out overnight.Read full review

Best you can get.

I've used it before on car restoration projects. For best results apply once, remove as much as you can, then re-apply. That way gets rid of a bit more rust and gives a more robust finish. Read the label and follow their instructions too; it's not just "slap it on and hope for the best", there's more to it than that.

Excellent product, used other so called rust converters but this is the best I have used. Just clean off the loose paint and some of the rust, it works better if some rust still on metal, paint the product on, gave it time to dry, I then used a hose pipe and brush to wash off the areas that had been painted and what's left is black treated rust. I have used this product on a landrover and a rusty ldv van project.Read full review

Rust converter that actually works.

This formula seems to do exactly as it promises, i normaly use phosphoric acid based rust treatments which only atack the surface rust but the Fertan actually soaks into the rust and stabilises it leaving a solid paintable surface.
I was unsure at first as the directions recommend dampening the surface with water first which didnt seem correct but if you follow direction to the letter this stuff realy works as it says on the bottle.Read full review

Fertan performance

I have used Fertan for several years and found it performs very well. Easy and safe to apply, two cars I have restored 1 -11 years ago still show no sign of rust reappearing after treatment. Only product I use.

Works perfectly

I have used Fertan during classic car restoration for over 30 years and if preparation is correct, it does the job and kills existing rust for good. Proper finishing and protection of the treated part is essential if further rusting is to be prevented.Read full review
