Great 80's film

Just about fitted into the '80s being released in 1989, but is a truly heart warming film, with some great actors in it. Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones and in a cameo role, the late great Burt Lancaster. The premise is that a farmer in his corn field hears a voice imploring "If you build it he will come". This turns out to be a baseball pitch and the farmer (Costner), sets out to do just that and ploughs into his crop, builds a baseball pitch and waits and waits........eventually something does happen and I will not spoil it here, but it is well worth seeing and I have seen it several times now and it brings a lump to my throat each time!!!Read full review
