eye-candy, boaring + no challenge thats it

Probably one of the worse FF-games in the history of FF. The only interesting part of the story was the recycling of some characters from FF-X.
The fighting system has a significant learning curve unless you are thoroughly familiar with the "JOB" system used in other rpg games. Sadly learning the system is a fruitless endeavor because the fights are all super easy.
The game is beautiful and the combat looks flashy and cool but those are the only redeeming qualities that I could see.
so If your looking for some good eye-candy and just want a story to play through then you may enjoy this game. If your looking for a dynamic and thought provoking RPG that will test your skills and make you feel accomplished in your game time than don't get this. The hardest thing to figure out is where you can and cant go in the environment, making travel long and difficult. To sum up, the parts that should be simple are hard and the parts that should be hard are simple but it looks cool and the story is ok if your into FFX and disney channel type junk.

DRESS SPHERES!?!?!? This isn't final fantasy!

I bought this game after the initial disappointment of FFX, hoping that they possible enhanced or worked out the stupid factors of the other. WRONG!! I am probably the BIGGEST FF fan ever, and have loved every one of them since the first, yet I shut it off after an hour or two of playing this so called "sequel". It was ridiculous to say the least. This game put all the others in the series to shame with it's stupid rock star girl band "JEM" version of what was previously the best rpg series, EVER! It certainly followed all of the linear gameplay of the last one, which they should have kept it non-linear in the tradition of FF7, but didn't improve in ANY way. They managed to make an even more idiotic installment in the franchise.
If you like movies like "Bring it on", and "Josie and the Pussycats", by all means buy this piece of crap. But unless you are a 12 year old girl, you might as well hold out for FFXII, and pretend this game never happened.....Like a red-headed, illegitimate love-child.....forget it ever happened.

Final Fantasy X-2

Ok first off, let me clarify, I bought the game for my fiancee, who loves Finaal Fantasy X. X-2 is the only FF game with a continuing storyline and I think she is interested enough to play it. She had some issues with some of the mini games, the one I remember most was the massage game. It is obvious that men wrote the game, I think women should take more of a hand in game design and come up with RPG's that are not so blatantly sexist.

But hey, honestly, I do not care. Let the women all dress like hookers and have 'hot' bods. Whole 'nother subject there entirely.

MY FAVORITE ALL-TIME GAME EVER & GREAT DEAL

That this game is really addicting that is why I bought Final Fantasy X-2. Like you could never stop playing. I had like two used Final Fantasy Game it was scratched [which is bad because I was so close to have the secret ending extra if you have completed the story] finally I could have a new one. I compare this to Kingdom Hearts where you could change your weapon and ability which is cool and learn new techniques and travel all around. 5 stars out of 5. Super Epic Awesome game...plus the series. Square Enix makes the greatest games ever.Read full review...

This is not the best Final Fantasy but it is not bad.

This Final Fantasy is the sequel to Final Fantasy X. This game is not a great game but it is pretty good. This shy's away from the traditional RPG fighting system and revamps it which I do like about the game it is done more in real time then as a hit the monster teleport me to the battle. The graphics are great as Final Fantasy games always are known for. The story line is good. My major complaint about this game is gaming hours this game took me alittle over 40 hours to beat for a FF game that is way to short. That being said this game is worth the money if you are a Final Fantasy fan. But let it be known that the game is quite short. I do give it a high replay value and will play again.Read full review...

good but not great

I bought this game after beating FFX and I Played through most of this game.

I was pretty surprised how different this game is from FFX. The battles are not the same, it's back to the experience and leveling up instead of the sphere grid. There is also jobs (dress spheres) in the game similar to like in FFV For the Snes.

Good parts I found about the game is that the story was ok, there was a variety skills and different quests you could do if you didn't want to just blast through the game. Also depending on your actions/choices, different stuff would happen and there was multiple endings

what I didn't like was there were some very girlish parts that were just not like final fantasy (the beginning is an example). The enemies also leveled up as you did so there was no place you could go and fight the weaker enemies really and some enemies got just too hard to beat.

Other than all that, it was a ok game, good for a 1 time play though to beat the game and then maybe another to gain everything in the game and/or get all the endings to the game

Wonderful addition to the FF family

his game is probably the first one where you get complete control of where you go right away. This game could take you 30 hours or 100 depending on if you go to just progress the story, or if you are one who loves to do lots of extra stuff. I am not going to spoil the game. I would recommend you play 10 first of course as this is a direct sequel. Instead of Tidus, however, it revolves around Yuna, who was also in 10. It also features Rikku (also from 10) and newcomer Paine. I found all three characters enjoyable. If you play this game with an open mind and not be so judgmental I think you will enjoy. Beneath the perky story is still a deep emotional story that will suck you in if you give it the chance. The battles are fun and fresh.

The revisit to Spira may seem like a bore to people, but I enjoy seeing a world changing and evolving after the first game. Just give this game a chance and just play with an open mind. It is certainly worth the money.

Just as bad as I remembered

I bought this game when it came out, years back. I was reminiscing on the good ole' days and figured I would play it again. The visuals are great, because the game is built on FFX's engine. However, the majority of the gameplay involves mini-games. Mini-game after mini-game. In the end, you forget about the storyline because of them. Once you forget about the storyline, you forget why you are playing the game, and then,,, you stop playing. The first time I made it to the fifth chapter of the game before quitting out of boredom. This time, I only made it to the second chapter. It doesn't speak well of my gaming skills, but still... In the end, the game is alright. Definitely my least favorite Final Fantasy game. But still, Final Fantasy games, even their worst, is far better then the competition.Read full review...

Final Fantasy X-2

If you are purchasing this game because you loved Final Fantasy X and you think this is an extension of that game you will learn within the first 5 minutes that they are very different. In the first battle you suddenly realize that game play does not stop while you decide whether to attack, defend, use an item or "change your clothes?". I guess when you are playing as three girls fashion has to come into play! The enemies keep attacking you so you better figure out what to do very quickly. I think this takes away from the game since until you get used to it you are unable to explore all of your options before being killed. The fact is most people who love the Final Fantasy games probably wouldn't mind having them in real time but this in between turn based and real time was definitely not what I expected.Read full review...

Square-Enix does it again

Though the game only boasts two playable characters from FFX, (Paine is new) they certainly picked the best ones. Lets face it, Yuna gets a much needed makeover in attitude and clothing taste, and everybody who played Final Fantasy X fell head over heels in love with Rikku.(I know I did!) Anyways, this game as most Square-Enix games do, has exceptional graphics, and the absolute best thing is that you have over ten different job clsses you can assign each girl with and each come with their own individual outfit.(usually all the outfits are dead sexy baby!) Yuna has seen a sphere of a man that resembles Tidus (her love interest in FFX), now she is on a mission to seek out the man in the sphere and see if it is indeed her lost love, many hours of gameplay can be attributed to this game if you do all the side quests, collect all the dress spheres, and best of all just enjoy the games many beautiful worlds. If your interested in playing FFX-2 for the sole reason of playing as ALL of the characters from the original, then this game is probably not worth your time, (though every main character from FFX does make an appearance)but if you love final fantasy, or are new to the series, this is a great game to pick up, and is actually some what easy to pick up on. I hope this is somewhat helpfull at least, in closing please, do not cheat yourself out of a great gaming experience, play FFX-2 today!!Read full review...
