I often wondered (well, not really often) how many people watched this series for the final couple of minutes for the theme song. I know that, prior to purchasing this, that I could not remember or relate any of the episode plots, but the closing theme seems to be a wonderful memory of my growing up. Howdy Goody was gone, Ruff and Reddy woofed and went-y. and Saturday entertainment was transforming and Mike Mercury was right there in the center of it all

Great Saturday morning kids stuff!

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson classic kids show! Loved it when it came out on NBC Saturday morning 1964. I was 9 years old and immediately became my favorite show that year. Never missed an episode. Now I have the complete collection of all 39 episodes in glorious black and white. ITC were ahead of themselves when it came to good science fiction. After all they had the Great Derek Meddings(special effects James Bond movies) on their team. This set was Crystal clear in its format. Love seeing those strings.Read full review

Good ol' Fireball XL5 to the rescue.

Brings back early childhood memories from the early 1960's. I remembered the show title which was the name of the spaceship, but not the names of the characters when I began searching for clips and/or episodes online. Then I found some individual volumes and finally the complete box set which was much cheaper than buying single volumes. Great for nostalgia fans.Read full review
