I've been using fisherman's friend for almost 40 years. They taste nasty. If you have a sore throat it kills the sore throat. I'll take nasty over a sore throat any day. They're very strong although they contain the same amount of menthol as the other sugary cough drops. I'm not aware of any sugar in them. I only use the original flavor.
