Good value for the money, but sync/connectivity isn't perfect

I love this scale - though connectivity to the app can we wonky. I've started weighing in, then setting my phone directly on the scale - that seems to work. The sync between FitBit + Scale + Weight Watchers is also wonky, but that's not the scale's fault!! :)Read full review

Poor show by Fitbit

Scale was difficult to connect. I had to rerun the startup multiple times before it would connect to the wifi. Once connected, it kept showing a sensing error and not report weight or any other info. I spent a great deal of time following all troubleshooting tips I could find. Fitbit Support indicated that particular error is an unrecoverable error. After several hours of research on many customer review sites and blogs, the issues with the scale appear to be widespread. I returned it and got the Withings scale. A bit more expensive, but trouble free, so far.Read full review

Pricey but nice.

For a bathroom scale, this thing is a little pricey. However, it works well and looks nice. Setting it up was a little bit of a pain, but we got it after a couple of tries. If you are looking for an expensive scale that will sync up with your Fitbit software, then this is great. If you want a good digital scale and don't care about tracking your information, then buy something that is not as expensive.Read full review

WiFi feature poor

WiFi in the aria 1 Is “B” level only. This means scale needs to be physically 10-15 feet from router. Also, for this unit to connect with router, the router password used to connect devices cannot use any special characters as the aria wont connect. Get the Aria 2, it uses WiFi “N” which allows far better communication/connection, connectivity and greater distance between router and scale.Read full review

Sleek and simple design

I really like my new Aria scale. Wi-fi ability to sync to the Fitbit watch is very convenient for logging weight changes. I would give it 5 stars, but occasionally it weighs me in as a guest and then doesn't always save to my profile. If I restart the app it works again, so not sure where that issue lies, but it is not very often that it happens. Overall an elegant and smart scale.Read full review

Great integration with Fitbit Dashboard; helps stay on track

Once I got this synced up with the wifi and phone app I like the way it integrates with the Fitbit dashboard.
That being said I had some trouble getting it set up and work completely. I believe the problem was a poor WIFI access but the Fitbit support staff was fast to respond to my requests for help specifically confirming that I was following the proper process.
It took a day or so fro the WIFI to allow everything to work but it works great now.

Convenient, but inaccurate

Using it with myfitnesspal/fitbit apps is fantastic, and the auto-sync is fantastic... but it's sole purpose is to be a weight. When I stepped on it, I was a full ten pounds lighter than I was using other scales I own. While that is a nice thought, it isn't accurate. I did weight tests as well with other objects and the Aria was consistently off. If you want to use it to measure loss of weight, it still works, but just keep in mind you're probably 10 pounds heavier than it reads.Read full review

Easy way to track weight for any fitbit user

Setup was a challenge, I had to go into my router settings and change a setting to get the scale to connect.
My husband and I both use the scale, it tells you to step off and then asks who you are, you just tap until your name is there for multiple users who are close in weight.
I feel like the body fat percentage isn't very accurate, however any scale that measures this uses a low electric current, which can be thrown off due to many factors. I have another scale that measures body fat, and they vary as much as 12% between the two
I like this scale because I am a dedicated fitbit user. I track food, exercise, steps and weight.

Love it so far

Does everything the description says. About the only minor neg I can give it is that the displayed weight fluctuates about half to 3/4 pound each time I step on it. I weigh over 300 lbs, so that my be the problem. If you weigh less the instrument will probably be more accurate.Read full review

Great scale

Best scale I have ever owned. Build quality is excellent, easy to set up, very accurate, and works just as it is intended with the FitBit apps. This is exactly what you need to complement your FitBit. If you are serious about getting back in shape or staying in shape, this is an excellent tool. Had it for a month now and wouldn't trade it for any other scale.Read full review
