A definite improvement from the original Charge HR, but still room to make this tracker better.

The Fitbit app and community are fantastic and the customer service is excellent. The tracker does exactly what I want. Simple design too. Although, I'd recommend buying a strap made by another company. The titbits can look cheap and flimsy with Fitbit's own brand strap on. I had the first ever Fitbit and the first charge HR. I took a break after that as the straps kept breaking, they weren't waterproof and the battery life was terrible. This new Charge 4 has improved a lot.

The main issues I have with Fitbit is with the wristband tracker itself.
The screen is not very responsive when you tap to view screen. Sometimes it takes quite a lot of attempts to get the screen to activate.

The screen and clock is so small I can nearly see the time. If you're someone that wears glasses just for reading, then forget this tracker. I have to stop and try and focus. Even friends who don't were reading glasses can only just read the step count. If you're walking or running, you have to stop for a few minutes to try and read what to says.
I've tried changing to a different clock face, but all are very small.

Light and unobtrusive

I am new to using a fitness band or watch because I like a proper watch so decided on the fitbit 4 and I have it on my right wrist and a normal watch on my left wrist as usual and I do not notice the band on my arm at all. Always used Google fit on my phone but am finding the fitbit 4 gives so much information of what I am finding very useful after being unwell due to Covid.
I am looking forward to all the new info once I can get back to cycling.
Very happy with my fitbit 4 should I got one years ago.

Great fitness tracker

Bought for my partner to help motivate her to improve her fitness which she has wanted to do for a while. Seems to be an excellent fitness tracker. She is impressed with the different modes on the watch from GPS tracking and steps whilst out walking, the breathing exercises, the sleep analysis, heart rate monitor and the step per hour encouragement. There are in App purchase opportunities which we haven't taken up so cannot comment on these. So far very pleased with the watch/fitness tracker.Read full review...

solid budget activity tracker

It's a pretty good activity tracker, especially if you can get it for a good price (I managed to get 2 second hand ones for around £40 each, and I'd have felt ripped off if I'd paid £120+ for a new one.

It tells the time, sends notifications from my phone, is waterproof and is ok at tracking heart rate etc, although the GPS is pretty patchy, and if you do use it will tank the battery.

As a tool for keeping me accountable and active, it's definitely good

It's OK for the price

Bought this as it had better reviews than the new Fitbit Charge 5 (then £169) and cost £80 less - although the 5 is now available for £129.

Not bad for the price (£40 less than the Fitbit website at the time of purchase) and seems much more accurate than my smartphone's built in step tracker.

My biggest criticism is the display/fonts. Whereas I can read normally without reading glasses I find the display less than easy to read. I think White text on a Black background doesn't help.

Charging can be "fiddly" and the User guide information is rather poor in some respects.

Decent fitness tracker: accurate with no fuss

I like the Charge 4 very much because the battery life, for me, lasts 4 days or so; the sleep analysis works, the heart-rate and gps is accurate and there`s a volume max assessment which is a rough-guide to fitness. Additionally, it is lightweight and doesn`t require moving through lots of menus as was the case with my smart watch. It`s hard to read the screen whilst exercising but overall, it works nicely. Disappointed with Fitbit4

I already have the Fitbit2, which is on its last legs (planned obsolecense, I think). THis Fitbit4 is no where as easy to use, nor looks as sturdy as the Fitbit2. Its a shame that progress is let down by decrease in quality and ease of use.Read full review...
