Great key for the price

So far this is a great key for the price. The local Vauxhall garage transferred the old key parts into the new case at no charge, so in effect we have a new key for £3.99!! A replacement key would have cost £100!! If it stands up to everyday use it will score 5 star plus.Read full review...

New key fob for Meriva

Had to cut the board alignment pin down as it didnt match the board. My old key fob had to be butchered due to being glued. Fob working better than original.

Vauxhall key fob

Bought this to replace a worn out fob but unfortunately my old key wouldn't transfer as the grooves where the key fits into the fob are different from the original vauxhall although all the other internal parts fitted properly so bear in mind that you may need to get the key cut with the new fob it may not be a straightforward transfer like I hoped.Read full review...

If you've built an Airfix kit you can do this!

It takes a bit of dexterity. The internal circlip pliers are very helpful for splitting the case. The new case opens easily but with the original you need to initially open at the key end then use your fingers to open the tail end. This takes quite a force as I suspect it was glued.
To drive the pin out I used a very small nail (having filed the point flat) and held it with pliers.
Note the slot in the old key goes towards the pin.
Don't forget to wind up the spring a full turn anticlockwise when assembling.
Use a pen knife to prise out the logo from the old fob and use a spot of glue to secure to the new one.

A great value product and good quality too.

Not easy

It was a good price but had a few differences that made building the old key into it more difficult blade was shorter where it was held in the hinge was different so couldn’t swap it that way but I sorted it with a little angle grindingRead full review...

Zafira B. Good case! The Key is rubbish but.....

You will need a hammer and small thin nail to knock the pin out of uncut key. Transfer your old blade and knock the small pin back in. 10 minutes job done no need to pay for useless new blade to be cut costing £40.00 from Timpsons. Old key blade may need to be very slightly trimmed using wire cutters so pin hole lines up. YouTube has video showing citroen remote key swapping pin out using hammer.Read full review...

Good product.

Exactly as described this is the second one I have purchased and went together well. Some people might find it a little tricky especially when needing to knock out and replace the pin that holds the key blade. There is a YouTube video that goes through this Vauxhall key fob rebuild.Read full review...

Easy

Replace the internal circuit board drop in a new CR2032 battery. Knock out the small retaining pin swop the key blades. Knock the pin back in put it together tighten the small screw, that's it, 10mins. Good quality. Those who can't do it may have problems tying their own shoe laces :)Read full review...

Cool

Very cheap easy way to rejuvenate a ten year old astra key just swap internals and knock roll pin out of key blade on old key then do the same for new key and swap them over. Dead easy takes about 5 mins for a great new looking keyRead full review...

Value for money. Certainly an option to try before spending tens of pounds for a new ley and fob from the car dealers.

Easy assembly. Just had to transfer metal strip from old key fob to new. Used a small drill as a press to push securing pin out. In with the pcb, etc, and good to go.
