Hitchcock's fabulous "Foreign Correspondent."

"Foreign Correspondent" is so good, it was nominated for six 1940 Academy Awards including Best Picture. Alfred Hitchcock directs this espionage thriller set in prewar Europe. The stars of the film include Joel McCrea, Laraine Day, Herbert Marshall, George Sanders, Albert Basserman, and Robert Benchley. I found myself intently watching the movie for it's entire two hours. Old but very good

Joel MacRae usually in cowboy garb, does a nice job as a reporter in this spy thriller. Laraine Day is an added treat. This film makes clear how well done films could be in 1940.

Old movie set just before the US's involvement in World War II. Good cast, great characters, and a very good story. I liked it very much.
