Great die
I have been using this die for my 6.5 reloads for a while now and have found it to be extremely accurate and easy to set up. As a point of reference, I used my Hornady ammo concentricity gauge to measure run out on factory140 grain ELD's. The run out was between .002 and .003 on these rounds. When I measured run out on my reloads (Hornady brass and 140ELD-X bullets), seated by this Forster die, the run out was between .0005 and .0015. Can't ask for much better than that. The micrometer is great for small precise adjustments and the Forster Cross-Bolt Die Lock Ring is much more solid than a rubber "O" ring.Read full review

Fit, finish and function superior to Redding Micrometer BR Seater.
Used Redding BR seaters for years. They are nice product's but in terms of feel and ease of adjustment this one is better. Tried it on a recommendation from a friend and I'm sure glad I did. Getting this die set-up and adjusted is more intuitive and I didn't need to get an additional special seating stem for VLD style bullets. The Redding die's typically give me 0.0015"-0.0025" Total Indicated Runnout on loaded rounds with properly prepped brass (50% surface area clean-up on neck turning plus annealling). I have not had a single round loaded with this die that's given me runnout over 0.001". Pretty impressed, will be buying for other caliber's in addition to this one which was 6.5 Creed.Read full review

For maximum accuracy, you want your case and bullet concentric with t each other - that means they are in a straight line. so the bullet enters the chamber with the bullet centered in the barrel. This seating die is designed for that specific purpose - it ensures the bullet and case are in, and stay in, correct alignment. This is a competition grade seating die. The Micrometer adjust is almost dead on accurate. I do find that it's a better seating die than I really need, but you only go around once.
