Been looking for one of these for years!
Years ago I bought a couple of these type rakes when I lived in Hawaii, only difference was my original ones were wood. One of these was lost years ago and the remaining one is looking pretty rough so I was excited to find this product and it did not disappoint. I have double coated dogs (Akitas) and this type rake/brush is fabulous for coat blowing season. It arrived right on time and was just as pictured. I have already used it and it is wonderful. I had searched several sites for this type of rake with no luck so was very happy to find this. It wouldn't be a good choice for a short coated dog but double or long coat it's great! Actually Works
I bought all kinds of brushes and combs and I will NOT shave my cat, but I saw a lady review this on Youtube. When she said this was THE ONE that really did work I had to try it, especially since it was so inexpensive. Yes, it really does work. Unfortunately my cat won't stand for it more than a minute and that's not long enough. The directions say not to pull but push into the mat and break it up, but my cat won't sit still for that even for a couple seconds. Gently pulling a small piece of the mat at a time seems to be the way for it to work for me and my cat, even though the directions say not to do that.
