Excellent value and great quality Bandsaw.

Excellent value for money bandsaw.
You will however need to spend time on setting up the drive wheels and blade guides to get an accurate and efficient cut.
I found plenty of videos on YouTube that helped me with this process I recommend you do the same.
I also needed to insert a shim behind the top door locking block to stop the threaded locking knob from rubbing when opening and closing the top door. No big deal and fixed easily.
The build quality is very good, the materials used are heavy duty and I can see this bandsaw lasting years.
The blade that comes with the saw is good enough but I would also recommend buying a better quality replacement, I found it made my cuts a lot better.
Once set up, I cut a piece of pine at 25mm thick by 120mm wide, the cut I made was 5mm off of the thickness and so the blade was cutting at 120mm deep. The result was very satifactory, a slight wave occured but I know that was because I was feeding the wood a little fast. A second try proved that this bandsaw is a very nice bit of kit and well worth the money.

Disapointing performance

On the whole a well engineered machine at what appears to be a competitive price. My example however was tricky to get going because of a faulty door microswitch (poor quality control)

Unfortunately the capacity in anything other than the softest of softwood is disappointing; realistically the saw struggles with anything thicker than a couple of inches especially following the grain. it may be more effective with a less aggressive saw tooth pitch

Simply not the quality or performance I expected

showed promise by being better quality construction wise than the version below it which i previously purchased, but then went down from there in performance

seriously under powered, uses the same size motor as used in the smaller hobby version and struggled to cut through a board half inch think let alone the 120mm it claims to cut.
